Chocolate Bark ft. Pistachios

My inspiration behind coming up with chocolate bark and pistachios comes from a particular Turkish chocolate that I absolutely love. Whenever I go to Turkey, I make it one of my priorities to stock up as they're expensive to buy here in the UK.

There is actually nothing special about the chocolate itself, its the fact that the chocolate bar comes with Antep pistachio, a city in Turkey very famous for the quality of its pistachios. Antep pistachios are worldwide famous! :)

Chocolate Bark ft. Peanut Butter

The second tasty version of this Easy To Make Homemade Chocolate Bark is a combination of dark chocolate and peanut butter, the perfect and ultimate combination.

They are both made in the exact same way up until lining the baking tray with grease proof paper and pouring the melted chocolate on top. Once the peanut butter is melted slightly in the microwave, you simply drizzle it on top of the melted chocolate in the tray. Here's comes the fun creative bit, using a skewers stick, you can make patterns and swirls mixing in the peanut butter with the chocolate together.

Easy To Make Homemade Chocolate Bark with peanut butter

Ingredients

For Chocolate Bark ft. Pistachios

  • Milk Chocolate
  • Pistachios
  • Hazelnuts

For Chocolate Bark ft. Peanut Butter

  • Dark Chocolate
  • Peanut Butter

Step by Step

I have paired dark chocolate with peanut butter and milk chocolate with crushed pistachios and crushed hazelnuts but its up to you to mix and match your chocolate as you please.

Start by melting each chocolate separately - if you do prefer to make both chocolate barks with the same chocolate type, of course you can melt them together in the same bowl. To melt them, cut the chocolate into smaller pieces and put them in a bowl over a pot with boiling water, allowing the steam to melt the chocolate.

Once melted, pour each chocolate type in a baking tray lined with grease proof paper. Smoothen out and flatten out the melted chocolate in the tray.

For the dark chocolate, pair with smooth peanut butter (you can use crunchy peanut butter if you wish). Melt the peanut butter for 30-40 seconds in the microwave until a little runnier. Drizzle and pour the peanut butter on top of the chocolate. Using a wooden skewer stick, make patterns and swirls mixing in the peanut butter with the chocolate.

For the milk chocolate, pair with pistachios and hazelnut. Unshell the nuts, chop them up and crush them with a knife. Throw them on top of the melted chocolate in the flat tray, pushing in any of the bigger nuts deep into the chocolate.

Pop both trays in the fridge until they harden really well.

Once hardened, break into chocolate bark pieces and they are both ready to eat and enjoy! :)
