Easy To Make Homemade Chocolate Bark made in two different ways, guaranteed to be loved by everyone this festive season.
I have paired dark chocolate with peanut butter and milk chocolate with crushed pistachios and crushed hazelnuts but its up to you to mix and match your chocolate as you please.
Start by melting each chocolate separately – if you do prefer to make both chocolate barks with the same chocolate type, of course you can melt them together in the same bowl. To melt them, cut the chocolate into smaller pieces and put them in a bowl over a pot with boiling water, allowing the steam to melt the chocolate.
Once melted, pour each chocolate type in a baking tray lined with grease proof paper. Smoothen out and flatten out the melted chocolate in the tray.
For the dark chocolate, pair with smooth peanut butter (you can use crunchy peanut butter if you wish). Melt the peanut butter for 30-40 seconds in the microwave until a little runnier. Drizzle and pour the peanut butter on top of the chocolate. Using a wooden skewer stick, make patterns and swirls mixing in the peanut butter with the chocolate.
For the milk chocolate, pair with pistachios and hazelnut. Unshell the nuts, chop them up and crush them with a knife. Throw them on top of the melted chocolate in the flat tray, pushing in any of the bigger nuts deep into the chocolate.
Pop both trays in the fridge until they harden really well.
Once hardened, break into chocolate bark pieces and they are both ready to eat and enjoy!
