A Five Star Dessert!

Perfect Treat For Thanksgiving

Although Thanksgiving is an American holiday and it’s not something that we celebrate here in the UK, but as so many of my visitors are US based I had to share some recipes that everyone can still enjoy with their loved ones and of course that tastes so delicious and addictive.

Preparing food for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas can be extremely time-consuming, so it’s easier to make something easy and simple for dessert that comes together in just 5 minutes, or something that can be made a head of time and baked freshly on the day.

This cookie dough recipe is ideal for that, it’s perfect for crowds, and it taste SO GOOD! A little tip though, make sure you have an extra tray because it will be cleared before you even know it!

Yes, this cookie recipe is perfect for entertaining crowds, but what if only a couple of people wanted to enjoy it? It’s totally doable. All you have to do is half the recipe! So you would need:

  • 200 grams of butter
  • 200 grams of flour
  • 150 grams sugar
  • A pinch of salt, if you used unsalted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 100-120 grams of chocolate chips

A bite from heaven!

Craving Cookie Dough

When I tell you that I crave cookie dough 24/7, I mean it! Let me just give you a taste of my obsession…

This is a family-friendly recipe which means that it feeds an entire family right? Yeah, my husband and I wiped the whole tray by ourselves 🤣 It tastes THAT good! Though we were in a sugar coma afterwards.

As a mom, I am very conscious of what I make and what I feed my family. But this?! I made it 3 times over the past 2 weeks! 😅 But hey, my family aren’t complaining either!

I would love to hear if you’re as addicted as I am below or on Instagram!

You can use a hand whisk or electric whisk it’s completely up to you. It only needs a couple of minutes anyway so it’s not too much work.

Can this cookie dough be prepared ahead of time?

Yes, it can! All you have to do is put your dough in a dish, place it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve then just put it into your baking tray and bake.

You can definitely use salted butter instead but make sure you eliminate the salt later on in the recipe.

Prep Time 2 mins Cook Time 23 mins Total Time 25 mins

Ingredients

Chocolate Drizzle

Instructions

  1. First, start by melting your butter in the microwave on full heat for 30 seconds just to soften it. As a result, you will melt half of it while the other half would still be holding together which makes it easier to whip with the sugar.

  2. Then, pour the butter and the sugar. Whisk them together until your mixture becomes fluffy.

  3. After that, break in your eggs one by one and whisk in as well until you get a creamy texture.

  4. Next, add a pinch salt and the flour. Mix it well until it formes a dough, then add the chocolate chips.

  5. Pour your mixture into a large cast-iron skillet and bake it in a preheated oven at 175° for 23 minutes. It should be baked and crispy on the edges, quite golden and in the center it should have the slightest wobble.

  6. Bring it out, leave it on the side to cool down for 5 minutes, then serve up with your favorite ice cream.

  7. This is optional, but you can melt chocolate chips with some milk in the microwave, drizzle it on top and enjoy!

Note

I opted for unsalted butter in this recipe, but if you want to use salted butter instead it's totally fine but do not add salt later on. It would be too much.

It's ideal to bake your cookie dough in a large cast-iron skillet since this recipe is meant for crowds.

You can use a hand whisk or electric whisk it's completely up to you. It only needs a couple of minutes anyway o it's not too much work.
